Hi, My car is pretty new and there seems to be a problem whenever I drive my car a little fast on the highway. I have full warranty till 36,000 miles. My problem is that whenever I give race to my car and my RPM goes till 4 & 5 and it comes back again, at that point when I check my car engine, it kinda becomes hot and I thought that should not happen to a new car. Not only that also when I drive for a while on the highway at a constant speed of 65, it does become kinda hot. What do you suggest and what should I do? & Also when sometimes I drive my car my RPM goes upto 3&2 even though I am driving at like 25-30, that only happens when I first switch on my car. Is that normal?

Word to the wise, the civic is not a racing machine.

But, I wholly recommend that you take it in under warranty and explain the issue with them. They may find an issue or they may not but I would document the problem with them so that should this worsen they know you have been reporting problems. Don't mess it up, this vehicle is just getting going in its life and you don't want to shorten it so that once the warranty is over the problem really begin. Get this taken care of and it theirs to take care of.
