The transmission is noisy in all gears, even in neutral and at a stop. The noise goes away when I step on the clutch. Is it the clutch plate and/or bearings that are worn or is it possible I could have very low fluid and it's the gears making the noise? If it's the gears, where do I check and fill the fluid?

Thanks

There are two possibilities as to what it could be

1) Input shaft bearing, this bearing is located inside the transmission, and would require the transmission housing to be seperated in order to access

2) Throw out bearing. The transmission must be dropped, but not taken apart. This is located inside the bell housing and is most likely what is causing the noise.

Either way, the transmission has to be dropped in order to find the problem.
