I was rear ended at very low speed, nothing happened to the car but my turn signal stopped flashing. Lights turn on but it does not flash even for hazard light. What is wrong and how can I fix it?

Hello and thanks for donating!

The most likely culprit here would be a faulty Turn signal/ Hazard Relay. Your vehicle's turn signal / hazard relay is located in the under-dash fuse / relay box. That box will be found under the left side of the dash.

It appears no one carries relay for turn signal for 2004 Honda Civic-VP. Went to a dealer they said it would be $40 and they will have to order it.
I was surprised that with small rear end impact how would this relay blow out. SO I checked all wires of rear turn signals and near the relay which is under the dash. Made sure they are tight. Guess what the turn signal is flashing again properly.
Lesson lerned make sure all your wiring is connected properly, I guess even smallest disconnection might cause flasher not to flash.

If they come on and won't flash, replace the signal flasher.

Hi acadian,

Does it happen when turned to either side or only one side?

It could be a bad/loose connection somewhere or a faulty switch or relay depending on what the hazards do when it is malfunctioning

If the hazards stops too, then the relay is bad.

It is the Turn signal/Hazard relay.

Yes it could be the flasher/hazard relay. Or it could be fuse #2 or #5 in the under hood fuse box. Here is a guide to help test the fuse and the fuse and flasher location below.

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find.

Thank you for your response. I figured it out (me, a girl, using the internet-I did not take my car to a mechanic or the dealer). The flasher was in the fuse box under the steering column. I had to order the part from Honda, only $17.95, and I replaced the old one. Thanks for your help.

The car comes with fuel smoke when raised and drive. The scanner shows the above code. We have changed the distributor and try the brain box and the injector mouth, still the fuel consumption did not change and the smoke keeps coming.

Re is it smoking from? That code is for crank sensor. You will need a lab scope to check it @ the sensor look fore a good clean ac signal the connector is under the intake manifold it will be 2 wires if it checks out good @ the sensor you will need to check it @@ the computer
