Car running great, but getting persistent CEL that has reset on own a couple of times. I have found that this code can mean "NOx Trap Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank1)" which seems to be associated with O2 sensor in some posts but then in others seems to be associated with bad catalytic converter and I have even found it associated with the rechargeable battery???? Help! Thanks in advance.

Hello
Thanks for the donation.

This code usually indicates a faulty oxygen sensor(s). However, in some instances it can also be used for a faulty catalytic converter as well, since the O2 sensors are located on the exhaust system along with the cat. converter(s). You should check out the following link to test your oxygen sensors before replacing anything.

If the tests come out good then faulty cat. converter is the issue.

Hope this helps..
