I drive a 2003 honda civic si and the other day the check engine light came on. I took it to the auto parts store for a diognostic reading and the reading said it was either the o2 sensor, the vacume pressure or the rings alowing oil to get into the exhaust. I checked my oil and it was on empty. I think it is the rings. What do you estimate a ring job will cost?

This is just impossible to estimate untill it is dismantled and inspected, just to fit a set of rings is crazy, why do only part of the job, bearings, oil pump, head, will all need to be look at, if the bores are worn, new rings will work fine for a short time, but you problem will return, if you are serious about fixing it, you must dismantle and inspect first, just fitting ring can be an expensive waste of time.
Do it one, do it right, you don't want to be pulling it apart again I'm sure.
