About how much should I expect it to run me to have the transmission replaced on my 2003 Civic EX? I live in the NYC area in case that makes a difference. Thanks so much!

It is hard to say for sure just because the cost of a repair is going to vary depending on who is doing the repair and the part of the country you are in. The NYC area is going to be one of the higher areas in the country.

So, I am attaching the book times so that you have a good idea how long it should take depending on what they are saying needs to be done. Then you just multiply this time by the shops door rate.

Next is the cost of the part. If you are going with an OEM replacement, then that is going to be pretty standard so just Google the cost of the transmission they are using, and you will see if they are increasing the cost at all.

The labor is going to be the cause of the biggest difference, so this is what we need to focus on. Please see the attached info and let us know what questions you have. Thanks
