While driving yesterday, I noticed that when attempting to shift into 2nd, 3th and 4th mostly, that it would not shift until the second attempt. It was as if there was something blocking me from shifting. Then I would go to neutral positon then go back to the gear I wanted to shift to, then I could shift without resistance no other problems noted. I was told that maybe the clutch needed adjusting however we took it in to get looked at by someone we dont know and all of a sudden we need a transmission. I am not sure if its some guy tring to milk us or what. Any ideas?

Hi there,

This could be a transmission problem, if the oil was low and the syncros were worn it would be hard to shift into gears, but a clutch will also give similar feel if faulty. Get a second or 3Rd opinion before handing over your $$$$$
