1998 Honda Civic 4 cyl Manual 123 miles

Hi, I own a 1998 Honda civic ex, and when i got my transmission flushed, the mechanic told me that the clutch is going bad. So i was just wondering how you can tell the clutch is going bad, and how much a clutch repair is going to cost me?

Hi shellz23,

First sign of clutches going bad would be a heavier than usual clutch pedal pressure.

Next would be rpm racing before dropping after releasing the clutch pedal and accelerating when shifting gears.

Parts should cost about $270 whereas labor time would be 4.3 to 5 hrs depending on model.
