I RECENTLY TOOK MY 98 HONDA CIVIC EX TO REPLACE MY CLUTCH CAUSE IT WAS WORNED OUT AND IT WAS MAKING CLINKING NOICES WHEN EVER I SHIFTED FROM REVERSE TO FOWARD, ALSO IT ACCELARATED SLOW AND MY REVS GET REAL LOW WHEN I STOP MY CAR. THIS CONTINUED TO HAPPEN AGAIN AFTER A DAY OF DRIVING MY CAR AND NOW IT ALSO MAKES A NOICE LIKE IF METAL WAS RUBING AGAINS METAL EVERY TIME I MOVE MY SHIFTER AND WEN I ACCELERATE IT MAKES A RATTLELING NOICE.

Hi DEMON 69,

The low rev should be something to do with the idling of the engine.

What you mentioned looks like worn gear shift lever bushes. Does your gear shift have a lot of free travel?
