My 1998 Honda Civic died while driving down the road. I have had lots of problems with fuel pumps in other cars in the past and thought instantly that would be the problem. After a painstaking lesson of discovering that there was an access plate beneath the rear seat after dropping the fuel tank, I replaced the fuel pump. The car still would not start. The pump is producing pressure because when I removed the line, fuel spurted everywhere. I checked the ignition system by seeing if the spark plug ignited. It did, but the spark was yellow, not blue like I read in another post. Could that be the problem? If not, any other ideas? Thanks.

Thanks for the advice. Just for future reference, is the weak charging evident because of the color of the spark? What is the best way to check the coil?
