1994 Honda Civic Head gasket

1994 Honda Civic 4 cyl Automatic 23000 miles

My car started to over head I took it to a mechanic he said it the gasket needed to be replaced but wasnt sure about the head. He is quoating me between 950-1400. Is that about right. How much does it actually cost and is it worth fixing?

Seems a bit pricey for a head gasket replacement on your Civic.. make certain mechanic is only repairing the head gasket and not throwing in additional repairs that you don't know about..
