My 1993 Honda Civic has 253,000 miles and has given me no problems since I bought it. I am the original owner. Recently it started blowing oil out from under the valve cover. When you remove the oil filler cap while it is running you can feel and hear air puffing out from inside the valve cover. I have been told it is probably a blown head gasket. What do you think?

What you are feeling is crankcase pressure. Every motor has a little blowby pressure because the piston to not fully seal against the cylinder walls. A little pressure is fine, but if it is excessive you may have an engine problem or a failed PCV system.

First I would check to make sure that the pcv valve and hose is functioning properly, and if it is, I would do an engine compression test.
