Please help I need more insight into my prob. The engine turns over but wont start, I have verified all ignition parts in the engine bay are good, icm, coil, cap, rotor, ckp, tdc, cyp sensors, I am not getting voltage to the map sensor but I have also just noticed that the main relay looked like it got wet somehow and it failed 1 of 3 tests listed in haynes book. I am not getting spark and thought I was getting fuel but not so sure now that the relay checks bad. I have to order a relay but am not sure if this is my only problem since the map sensor is not getting voltage. Please help I can't afford a donation now that I have to buy the relay and have to get my car running ASAP.

Hi sikpup,

If the main relay is bad, it would not work the fuel pump and might cause no sparking as well.

Does the CEL goes off after 2 seconds? If it stays on, it could be a faulty ECM. Remove the cover and check for capacitor leakages.
How did the main relay get wet? Did you remove the circuit board to check it? Sometimes resoldering the circuit board works if it is not rusted through due to contaminations.

Did you do any repairs prior to this happening?
Do you have voltage at the distributor Black/Yellow wire at ignition switch ON and while CRANKING?

Thanks khlow2008 it was a faulty relay, it failed 2 of 3 checks in the book so I replaced it and all is well, thanks. I did check the ecm and it was pristine.
