1996, Honda accord 4 door lx, 4cyl. 2.2lt. At 2000 rpm only in Drive4 going about 40-50 mph the car starts to vibrate. As soon as I take it into drive3 it stops. Even going at 2000rpms in any other gear the shaking does not happen. It is really bad when you give it slight throttle and increase from 40 to 50.

Have the motor mounts checked. The age of the car and this could be related to a deteriorated motor mount.

I am not sure if it vibrates in reverse. I have never noticed it when I have been in reverse. Some mechanics seem to think the egr needs to be cleaned. What and how do you clean it for a 96 4 cly 2.2. It seems to have a egr sensor on top.

I think I should check the engine mounts and drivetrain components before I get to the EGR. As recommended earlier by Jack the 2carpro.

Any stored OBD2 codes-

Only in D4 as I posted in the first question. So far from all the suggestions that I have been given it seems like it is a crap shoot. Sound like I am going to spend a lot of money just to find out what the heck is doing such an issolated thing. Wish I was a mechanic. :)
