Does AF Ratio Sensor failure mean MAP or O2 sensor?

Check engine light came on with code P1164 (meaning: AF Ratio Sensor Performance Failure). Dealer recommends a new A/F Ratio Sensor for my 1998 Honda Accord. Of the research I've done on the web, it looks like 4-cyl Hondas don't use a MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor but rather a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor. However I've seen some posts on the web that claim the AF Sensor is the O2 sensor on the exhaust manifold. This confused me and contradicts what I've read. Can you help me understand if my error code means MAP sensor or O2 sensor. Thank you very much!

Hi hagengr,

Honda has never used MAF before except for rebadged models which might.

The A/F sensor is the primary HO2S sensor.
