2003 Honda Accord ignition switch

My car wont crank. Battery is good, thought it was the starter but nitced a blinking key on the dash. The key is broken and the manual says the indicator that is blinking is an "imobilized key", that does not reconize the key and if it does not reconize it that it will not start. What are the chances of going to the dealership, getting a new key and that fixing the problem?

If your key is broken then its a very good chance that is the problem, there is an electrical chip in the key that transmits info. To vehicle's computer, without it able to send the info. The car will not start.
