I take good care of my cars and just had a Honda dealer replace rear brakes - previously was informed my rear rotors were 'scorched' by this same dealer; however, they replaced the brakes with no issues. Upon getting the car back, I immediately noticed heavy vibration during acceleration, particularly uphill. I took it back once and was told they cleaned the hubs and tightened the lugs (after I found some rear lugs to be loose). Got it back, same problem. Took it back and now I was told that both front axle's are shot and need replaced at about $550/ea. Question is, does this sound like a reasonable diagnosis and has anyone else experienced the need to replace axle's at just over 100K miles?

Does the vibration go away when you are not on the gas peddly or on the brake? If so you prob. need axl assy. you can get new axls. from after market for less then $100.00 and labor is one hr. pr. side. If the dealer left your wheels loose i would think about going there.
