Was driving down the freeway, my car started to lose power so I pulled to the next exit, engine shut down could not start, had it towed home now the key will turn, not click, click like the engine wants to turn over, lights come on put can not get it to start just want a little information so maybe I can trouble shoot before I take it to a shop and get hosed.

Hi Marilyn,

You need to isolate the cause of the problem.
1. Check/test for sparks at plugs when cranking.
2. Remove air intake hose and pump some starting fluid into throttle body and try to start.
Test for fuel pressure at fuel rails.
3. Do a compression test if both the above don't work. It could be a broken timing beltà â â€
