Starts but shuts off when accelerated

The car starts up fine, but it will not accelerate over 2000 rpm and then it shuts off like if it chokes. While in parked the rpm is under 1000. Got a new throttle body no change what else can I do? Can you tell me what is wrong with it and is there any sensor that I need to check?

Have the exhaust system checked for excessive back pressure. A plugged muffler or converter will act this way.
