Thank you to whoever responds to this message. Well my car is a 2000 Honda Accord automatic six cylinder. About a month ago, it started lurching and stalling and began having poor acceleration. We took it to a shop. We got it back about two weeks later. They said it was a transmission issue which they had fixed. As soon as I drove it, I notcied nothing had changed. We returned it to the shop and got it back three days later. They said they had put a part in it to repair. The car runs, but still not well. It still lurches every once in awhile and the ride isn't as smooth as it used to be. I also noticed some transmission fluid leaking after I got home. It has not stopped for two days. So here's my question. Is it normal for my car to be leaking transmission fluid right after it has been repaired? Also, do you have any idea what is wrong with it? Thank you for responding.

Hi erdoll21594,

It is not normal for transmission fluids to be leaking under any circumstances. If it is leaking after repairs, the job had not been done well and something is wrong.

The description of the problem is not specific and vague so I am not able to make any comments.

Is the Check Engine Lamp indicating?
When does the lurching occurs?
What is the idling speed?
Is the mechanic who performed the job a transmission specialist?
