While driving on the freeway, I happened to drop RH side glass out of the passenger side (blind spot) powered, foldable and non heated assembly.

I purchased the new glass assembly with a plastic backing a guinine part from Honda dealer. I am finding difficulty in assembling it with the actuator. There are two mini motors. Each has a ball type actuating rod. Being a blind assembly, I am not able to insert the ball in the plastic socket at the back of the glass frame.

Is there a special tool or any technique to assemble it securely? Please advise.

Thanking you.

Hi khuranrb,

Ther should be a big ball that fits into the center. Relese the screw from bottom and press it in.

First apply some grease to all 3 points. The 2 smaller balls should be pressed in one at a time and after pressing it it, pushing the mirror side way or up and down would have clicking noise confirming the balls are secured. When pressing in, you have to be careful as excessive pressure can break the glass.

You have to be gentle and a cardboard wrapped with a piece of cloth can help spread the force on the glass. Polystyrene instead of cardboard would be a good choice as well.
