My passenger side mirror has been broken off except for the electrical cable from which it is hanging. How do I disconnect this cable? I have already unscrewed the assembly by removing the interior panel. It seems as though it should simply "unplug" but I haven't applied sufficient force (yet) to make this happen. Help.

The mirror assembly has 3 8mm bolts that holds it and you need to remove the passenger door panel to disconnect the wire harness. Try to use a flat head screwdriver to pry the broken part off.
