For the past five years my 98 Honda Accord will sometimes loose power and the RPMs will drop. This normally only lasts a few seconds and happens once or twice a month. At times it seemed that it would happen as the weather changed from hot to cold, but now it happens more frequently. We have brought it to the dealer many times and the problem has only been duplicated by them once. Nothing has ever shown up in diagnostic tests or in the computer codes. They have performed tune-ups (change plugs, wires, cap, and rotor), changed the fuel injectors, replaced the ground strap, ECM, and the computer. Although unrelated, the transmission was also replaced along the way. Throughout all these changes, the problem still persists. It see. Ms to go away for a while and then comes back. It happens less in the summer months. Any help would be appreciated.

I wish to thank KHLow2008 and mmprince4000. I tried to give feedback and points but have none to give. The how to section suggested that I could give five points but I kept getting error messages upon submitting. I donated through paypal to show my appreciation but also wish to convey my appreciation in writing.

These types of problems are very hard to diagnose. Could be a intermittent EGR or any number of sensors.
I would keep the receipts from Honda and if the problem becomes worse, I would insist they fix it free.
You may ask them if they have a scanner that can be hooked up to the car to measure sensor parameters over a period of time, say a month or so.
The sensors parameters could be recorded and reviewed after the next occurence.
Or hook up the scanner and have them drive it for a day and compare sensor limits with known values.

Since no diagnostic codes were found, you should look at at areas that would not give any codes.

Intermittent fuel pump or relay failure would also cause the problem.
