1998 Honda Accord EX 98K

Just bought car.
Was driving the car and shut off on us and no dash board lights. When attempted to start didn't start right away (cranked but not started). Since then has not shut off on us, but doesn't always start on the first time. It cranks and attempts to start (rpm rise) but immediately shuts off. When it does this there are no dash lights & odometer (as if no power) but the radio will remain on. I had an 1987 that did similar and my husband replaced the ignition and it stopped, but he car didn't have a chip key. What do you think?

I have also noticed a buzzing near the rear passenger wheel as if an electrical componet is kicking on and off. It doesn't do it all the time. Any idea of what it may be. I have attempted to listen to see if is the fuel pump (in the trunk) but everytime I listen it either doesn't do or I can't get there in time to tell where it is coming from.

And after driving it for the first 150 miles the check engine light came on. I'm assuming that it is a sensor or something because it isn't affecting the drivability. I know I will have to run diagnositics for that, but just wanted you to have the information.

Thank you :D

Check to see if the ignition switch is on recall for that vehicle with the dealer and if the switch was replaced.

I finally got the trouble codes
P0700 A/t System Malfunction
P1457 EVAP Control System Leak

There is a part of the ignition that is on recall, but the dealer said it wouldn't cause my type of problem. The dealer said that it is on recall because the key can be removed while in the on position and poses a safety hazzard. Currently, it can not be removed from the on position. There is also a recall on the transmission. I believe something to indicate that the car may be able to move when in park. Neither has been completed on the car. I hope to get them taken care of soon.
