My condensor fan went out in my car, and I was at a stop sign this afternoon and the temperature gage climbed over the halfway mark. Does the condensor fan play a large role in cooling the engine? How do I test the condensor fan motor before I replace it?

Hi tmckently,

Depending on the ambient and operating temperature, the condenser fan's requirement is different. If the weather is hot, the condenser is required to help the radiator fan.

To test the fan, unplug the connector and apply voltage to it.
