1993 Honda Accord

My car runs really good, until I stop and have to sit 8 or9 minutes, then my car shows hot. When I take back off it drops back down to normal. Why is it doing this. It only happens when I am stuck and not moving

Sounds like your cooling fans are not coming on. Check your fan motor, fuse, relay and fan switch (via thermostat housing)

I had a similar problem to yours a couple months ago. I checked the radiator first by flashing a flashlight into the filler top (making sure the car is cold before removing the radiator's cap). It turned out to be clogged so I changed the radiator and the hoses.
