1993 Honda Accord LOUD noise from car when accelerating

Hello,
I was going to work and was at a stoplight when all of a sudden upon accelerating from the green light, I heard a severe noise change from within my car. It only occurs when I accelerate and cuts out when I take my foot off of the gas. It sounds like I don't have a muffler on the car at all, but I looked and the muffler is still present. The noise gets louder as I accelerate, so I have tried to keep it below 20 mph where the sound is less. Any ideas? Thank you.
Oh, engine size and wheel drive may be incorrect--I am doing this on the fly so to speak---hoping to get a general answer if possible. Thanks again!

It may not be the muffler but for sure need to check the exhaust system
Check the front flex pipe
