When I put my car in park, it will randomly start to rev up, and then die down quickly. The car won't turn off, but it will repeat this several times until I turn it off.

Hi ohboylogan,

The idling speed is too high resulting in the surging.

Possible causes are:

1. Leaking vacumns.
2. Idle speed adjusted too high.
3. Fast Idle Thermo valve faulty.
4. Insufficient coolanty in system or clogged coolant hoses to FITV and IACV.
5. Faulty IACV.
