Irut on a new carb for samereason car will not idle car will run as long as you keer your foot on accelerator but the min you take it off the car will die have checked all electrics on carb is this a possible fuel problem

Hi there, Check that you have 12V at the indicated solenoid on the carby. mark (mhpautos)
