Anything is possible, but as long as the cables were connected correctly, it would not have caused this.
Lets start with the basics. Each head light have separate fuses. One is for high beam and the other for the low beam. I need you to locate the fuse box under the hood. Open it and check fuses 63 and 67. One is left high beam and the other right high beam.
If they check good, locate relay number 72. That is the high beam relay. Switch it with another relay in the box that has the same part number and see if that changes things.
If that does nothing, you will need to check for power to the light sockets. It is not uncommon for one light to burn out and the driver not realize until the other goes bad too. If there is power to the socket, replace the bulb.
