Hi,

Is the engine idle speed dropping low enough to turn the battery light on? Have you checked for engine vacuum leaks? Have you checked fuel pressure? Are there any odd smells, smoke, or sounds from the exhaust or anything that stands out to you?

I have to be honest The first thing I would be looking for would be an engine vacuum leak or even a plugged catalytic converter. If you haven't already, check to see if there are any leaks. Here is a link that you may find helpful:

Also, take a look through this link and see if anything seems to mirror what you experience, and let me know.

Let me know.

The problem with vehicle was faulty mass air flow sensor which did not throw a check engine code . Tested while running. Unplugged sensor and vehicle kept running, if sensor was working vehicle would have shut off. Vehicle running like a champ now.

Often times it will shut the engine off. Did you replace it and it is running well now?
