My 2003 Ford Focus last week had a plastic hose near the radiator burst; the car never indicated it over heated, and never stalled out. No engine light either. Once it stopped smoking, and I got the hood open, everything was drenched in coolant. We got the hose replaced and cleaned everything up. Next day starting the car brought on all new issues. The car is idling extremely low, nearing a stall out, but doesn't. Runs much worse if you try to turn on the ac. We investigated again, and found coolant pooling in the spark plug well - first thought here being blown head gasket. However, the car has drove about 80 miles now, and no indication of over heating. The engine light did however come on, and is pulling all kinds of error codes; Lack of Heated Oxygen sensor - Bank1 Sensor 1 Ho2 switch - sensor indicates lean; Crank Sensor Condition; Cylinder 4 Misfire detected. Before I get stuck with an unnecessary and very expensive head gasket repair, any other thoughts?
