When I bought the car my heater worked fabulously, my husband and I got into an argument in the vehicle and he stomped the area where you control the climate and now I have no heat. Blows cold air perfectly but no heat.

I'm not sure what he broke, but I can tell you how it works and you can check things. The air temperature is controlled by a cable. When you turn the heat up, the cable moved an air temperature door under the dash (approximately above your ankle when driving). Based on the position of that door, you will either get heat or AC.

First, I attached a couple pics. Pic 1 shows the cable that I am referring to. Pic 2 shows where the cable attaches on the air temp door under the dash. You can easily reach it from under the dash.

What to do is this. If you are still able to turn the knob, do it while you watch if the air mix door is moving. If it doesn't move (and I suspect it won't), either the cable is broken or the control unit is broken and will need replaced.

If you are desperate for heat and can't fix it at this time, simply manually turn the air mix lever in the heat direction shown in pic 2.

Let me know what you find. If you need to replace anything, let me know what is broken and I'll help you through it.

Take care,
Joe
