My air stopped blowing hot, wanted to know if you think it might be the heater core, and how difficult will it be for me to replace it?

Hi there,

Before tearing out you heater core, best to do a few checks first. Is the heater control binding, tight or very loose? With the engine at temp, feel the heater hoses, if both are not hot with the temp on, the core could be blocked or the heater tap has failed, and is stuck closed. Remove heater hoses, set switch on hot and flush with water, not to high, just enough to see if there is flow. No flow check tap is open, open tap & no flow, blocked core.
