Hi guys,
I own a lancer and I put the A/C on and in idol, the car will either lose revs to the point where it will stall,
I adjusted the revs to be higher and same problem,
I had a look at the A/C pump which is driven by the engine,
I removed the belt and tried to turn the pump by hand, it turns but it's really tight in points of rotation,
Is this a sign my pump is nearing the end of its life and will need replacing?

At idle with the A/C on the PCM controls the idle air control valve, it will raise the idle speed to compensate for the added load of the A/C compressor. I feel that if you get a scan done on the HAVAC system, you may well get a fault code, if so please re post the code here, the pump you turned is the compressor and it will get a tight spot as it compresses the gas internally this is quite normal.
