Hearing a sound from the side of the engine

Hearing a bad sound coming from the engine department and it get louder underneath.

Good evening,

I would remove the drive belt and start the engine and see if the noise goes away. It sounds like a bearing of some sort. It could be a water pump, alternator, or tensioner bearing.

Once the belt is off and if the noise goes away, then spin the components one at a time and see if you can recreate the noise.

If the noise does not go away, then it could be something like the timing chain but I doubt it very much. They do not make a noise like that when they wear out.
