A few things may have happened. First, make sure the firing order is correct. You may have switched a couple plug wires. Here is the firing order and the attached picture shows cylinder location.
Firing Order .................... 1-6-5-4-3-2
If that is correct, I would next suggest that you scan the computer to see if one or more of the cylinders are misfiring. This is an obd 1 system and is very easy to get codes from. Follow this link. Also, all you need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip to get the codes.

If that shows a specific cylinder misfire, remove the plug and confirm that the spark plug gap is properly set and the plug is good and not damaged.

One last thing. If everything checks good, wait until dark, open the hood, and start the engine. Watch for sparks arcing from the plugs, plug wires, or distributor cap.
