Hello, I have the vehicle listed above zd30 direct injection. The issue I’m having is that when I start on cold mornings it is hard to start but when car is warm will start straight away. I have changed the glow plugs. I have done a test to see if air is in the fuel and has been negative, I have also checked that the glow plugs are getting voltage which they are. So, I’m wondering if a leaking injector would be the problem, or would it be the fuel pump and how could I test it.

Hi,

Please understand, this vehicle isn't offered in the US, but I will try my best to help.

As far as the issue is concerned, it sounds like there may be a fuel pressure issue. Have you checked to see if the fuel pressure is within spec?

Also, try this and let me know the result.

1) turn the key from the off to the run position (engine off) and count to five.

2) Turn the key off and repeat step 1 four more times.

3) On the fifth time, see if it starts normally.

Let me know what you find.

Joe
