It sounds like a gurgling sound at the back on the passenger side. Other times it is like a popping sound.
We have had two different diagnostic reports, and none pick up anything wrong from two different mechanics.
Heavy fuel consumption, the gurgling sound there while driving a short distance. One mechanic is saying that it is running rich and has not given a solution.

Hi,

If it is running rich, it shouldn't cause a gurgling or popping noise. When you hear this sound, is there anything you can do to cause it to change in pitch, volume, or intensity
Also, is it loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear?

As far as a rich fuel mixture, that certainly can cause poor fuel mileage. However, in most cases, it will set the check engine light and it will remain on when the engine is running. Is that happening? Also, it is usually noticeable by a strong exhaust smell and even black or gray smoke from the exhaust. Have you noticed anything like that?

A rich fuel mixture can be caused by a few things. For example, if the fuel pressure regulator is faulty, too much pressure is sent to the injectors and the result is too much fuel enters the engine. Also, a faulty coolant temperature sensor can cause the computer to overcompensate with too much fuel if it thinks it is in an extremely cold climate.

I would be happy to help you through testing to determine a fix for the vehicle. To get started, let me know if the mechanics you have taken the vehicle to have provided any diagnostic trouble codes and if possible, record the sound for me to hear.

Let me know. Also, let me know if the mileage you listed 332K miles is correct. If it is, we may need to consider performing a compression test and to make sure it isn't in need of a tune-up.

Let me know as much as you can. Also, if they didn't provide diagnostic trouble codes, here is a link that explains how it's done. If you don't own a scanner, most parts stores will do it free of charge for you. However, the check engine light will need to be on for them to retrieve codes.
