Engine Cooling problem
1986 GMC Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic unkown miles

battery goes dead charge it over night next morning starts. Run through town errands 2 hours once home wont start back up. Also did the ole pull the hot cable off when the engine is running dies immidiately after taking cable off?

It sounds like a bad alternator. Check all your battery cables for corrosion, and make sure you have good grounds. Check your alternator connections and wires. If everything checks out, replace the alternator.
