I have a 1999 GMC sonoma and i want to change the fuel filter. I bought a new filter and on the box it says that the fuel system may be preasurized and to follow manufactors specs. Is there a special way that i have to replace this filter, or can i just take the old one off and put the new one on? It's a 6cyl. vortex engine. Thank you for your time, Kevin

and if you don't like to be spit back find the relay or the pump fuse- start the engine then remove it and let it die on its own-now go attack that filter and what's out it might require a special tool to remove it-eye ball it first assess the situation than take action.

Remember No smoking and Childrens allowed while you doing this. Safety comes first before the filter.
