Hello, have a 2001 GMC Sonoma ZR2 4.3 automatic 4X4 with with prox 68,000 KMS on her, the other day was power washing house, and on the way by I thought I'd give her engine a rinse as I had been planning to recently, started with the "high pressure" wand from about 2-3' away and shortly changed over to a low pressure higher volume wand ( top psi is 1700 lbs with high pres wand ) I avoided key electrical areas and did a quicky clean or engine compartment ( less than five mins and at a what I though good distance ) couple of hours later went to start and wouldn't, left over nite as I figured I had soaked the ign. Somewhere, next day still won't start will turn over well, but is not getting spark, it appears to be getting gas ok, tried blowing down and removing, cleaning, and using electrical contact cleaner, as well as putting dielectric grease sparingly on contacts for spark generating equip, as well as connectors that were visable, still no start ! As I didn't use "highpressure" for any length of time in a concentrated area I am at a loss to what has messed up at this point, is there any way I can get the code from the ol'puter? Is there a way that I can get this without buying a anyalizer, ( albeit a cheap one ) can I do as I did in the 90's on my old 91 Chevy S-10 with a wire/with probes to link the codes to "blinks" on the "service engine lamp" any help, of info will be very apreciated, I've cleaned engings a number of times like this in the past at home and at work difference here is I thought I'd take the chance and not do this while engine was running ( what a mistake ! )
