oil presure droping

i have a 1992 olds cutlass supreme sl with a 3.4 v6 dohc, with 177000 miles . when i first start it, the oil presure is fine, after it warms up it falls to less than 30 on the gauge, also, when i let off the gas, the motor surges, but dosent die,(or it hasnt yet)so far i have just changed the oil. what do i need to do in order to fix it?

A 3.4 with that many miles is on it's last legs. There have been hundreds of recalls on that engine, the worst in GM history. It really isn't rebuildable by 99% of mechanics because of the way the cams are set up. There are no marks and an expensive special tool is needed to set them up.

I would advise a little thicker oil untill it goes completely. A re-build would cost in the big buck arena.
