1995 GMC Jimmy won't start

The vehicle stopped running in the middle of the road and there's no spark.

Take the coil wire loose from cap, hold close to engine ground, have helper crank it, does a spark jump?

If not check the primary circuits to the coil, pink is B+, goes hot when you turn on the key. White is ground/tach signal, should be a pulse with the engine cranking.
