1985 GMC Jimmy V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

i brought this jimmy and it has a crate engine from autozone. I want to put a edelbrock intake maniford on it. I see some that say pre 86 something about the heads? The engine was put in in 06 so can I pretty much bet that the maniford wont match up with the heads?

If the engine was an exact replacement like it should be then the intake should fit. The old style has 4 bolts around the edge of each valve cover. The new style has 4 bolts down the center of each valve cover.
