my uncle and i put a new engine in my truck and hooked every thing up it starts and runs but when you go to turn off the ignition it won't shut off?i had to pull the coil wire off to stop it.i think i have all the wiring the same.some one told me that my solinoide on the starter was shot ,replaced it,still does the same.soon as you hook up the battery the dash lights come on and stay on.please help???

Maybe double-check your ignition wiring? You are turning key off but the curciut isn't being broken.Find a wiring diagram and check and see if you have any wires crossed to solenoid. Good luck :D
