My ABS appears to be engaging (weird sound) when I brake at low speeds and sometimes engages without hitting brake at all. The brake pedal stutters and goes low to the floor when I try to stop. It also seems worse if the steering wheel is turning.
I just recently replaced all four ball joints and did have the wheel speed sensors removed. I cleaned and re-assembled the sensors etc. And the problem seems worse. Is this the wheel hub/bearing and if so how do I figure out wich one is bad?

The truck displayed past wheel sensor codes but I believe these were old and just not cleared from the history. Thanks for any info.

The problem is the air gap between the sensors you removed. There is a recall for this problem. What your supposed to do is remove the sensor and grind down mating surface and reinstall but without a scan tool to watch each wheel speed it will be hard to diagnbose which wheel it is. If there is any play up and down on either wheel then replace hub and bearing assembly(it comes with a new sensor)
