hello. i am experiencing a knocking sound, which sounds like it is coming from underneath the front half of the truck. it doesn't knock at all when in park or neutral, even with the engine rev'd up high. it only knocks when in gear and under load. the sound is at its worst when the engine is cold and gets better as the engine warms up. once the engine is warm, a heavier load is required to get it to knock. any ideas?

a pro will have to look at this as sounds are hard to describe on the computer to give a good diagnosis. But one thing you can check is to se if your torque converter bolts have come loose. If they have remove them and reinstall them with locktite.
