1997 Geo Prizm engine failure

my engine started making a clicking sound and over time it got worse and just the other night i was driving it and it kinda souded like the engine blew then my car died. i wasnt that far away from my house so in the morning i was able to get it home but there was still a major clicking sound. it wouldnt stay on for long because it would just keep dying. i checked the oil and it appears to be full. but the car looks as if it hasn't been getting any oil in it.

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge to rule out the oil pump

there's aslo a knocking noise coming from the engine and i have no clue what it would be
