1993 Geo Prizm exaust sucks & carb blows

My 1993 GEO Prizm which has had a crank no start problem for a while I just noticed that exaust sucks & carb blows I don't know what could be causing this but i'm pretty sure thats why is not starting. any suggestions about what could be causing this wierd exaust sucks & carb blows problem???

Sounds like an exhaust valve and an intake valve stuck open. pull plugs check compression. did this occur sudendly?

I think I have a cheapy compression tester around here somewhere but I can say that it did happen suddenly and it cranks super easy likethere's no compression since it happened. thanks
